I'm a bit discouraged that the TSN community is gone, and now TSBN seems to be folding too. I like the features on here, but I need more college football fans.
That's the main sport I write about. I don't know if that makes it my favorite. LSU football is my favorite overall team, I would say. That's the only one that's been my #1 team my whole life. I never completely gave up on the Saints, but there were times when they weren't the #1 NFL team I followed. Plus I just don't like the NFL very much.
Their television rules are obnoxious, and they get in the way of me following my teams. They don't cause me to watch the NFL more, they cause me to watch it less. I haven't been to a game in about 7 years (which is another reason they have those rules), and it's just not worth it anyway.
I like to go to baseball games the most, but with 162 games for each team, I don't find as much time to blog about it.
Favorite Sports Moment:
It's a tie between LSU winning in 2007 and the Saints winning last year. LSU was the deserving national champions in 2003, but we didn't get to beat USC, so it took some of the luster away. That's a close third. They were just a culmination of decades of supporting the two teams.
My parents were 8 years old the last time LSU won the national championship before 2003, and about 10 years later the Saints came into being. They wouldn't even win a playoff game until over 30 after that.
I remember the 2-9 LSU team, and I remember THREE 3-13 Saints teams. You have to have been all the way down in the valley to appreciate how high the mountain is.
Favorite Stadiums:
The only stadiums I've been to lately are "the Big A" and the Honda Center in Anaheim and the New Orleans Arena, so I'm not really the one to ask.
I went to Fenway about 13 years ago, so I'll go with that one. I haven't been to Wrigley or other such places though. New is no substitute for authentic.
